What you'll notice
The aircon runs without stopping, the room does eventually get cold, but the unit never cycles off, or conversely it stops long before the room is comfortable.
Why it happens
A room or coil temperature sensor that has drifted out of tolerance and is reporting a temperature the system has not actually reached. On inverter systems a control board fault can produce the same behaviour.
How we fix it
We compare sensor resistance against its specification at a known temperature, read any error code the unit is reporting, and replace the sensor where it has drifted. Continuous running is expensive, so this is worth diagnosing early.
Still not working?
If the checks above haven't restored your thermostat, remote & control board, this usually needs a technician. Our Aircon Repairs service covers exactly this fault — from R650, quoted upfront.
