E48-32 / no signal

The part of the job you can't see from the ground
Every dish shows a picture on installation day. The difference between a good installation and a cheap one only appears in the first real storm — and by then the installer is long gone. So here is exactly what we do differently, and what each thing costs the shortcut merchants to skip.
- Aligned on a meter, not by eye — we peak azimuth, elevation and LNB skew on signal quality, which is what gives you rain margin.
- Compression-fitted, sealed connectors — twist-on connectors outdoors fail within about two years, without exception.
- Brackets into solid brick — not mortar joints, not plaster, not fascia board. A dish is a sail, and wind load is relentless.
- Drip loop at the LNB — ten seconds of work that stops water running down the cable into the connection.
- Right dish for your area — 60cm inland, 80–90cm on the coast and in the Northern Cape. Fitting smaller is why installations fail in the rain.
