Mounting, seriously
A screen above a treadmill is a safety item. Brackets go into structure, rated well above the screen weight, with fixings appropriate to the substrate — and where the wall is not suitable, we say so and propose a ceiling or column mount rather than making the wall work. This is the part of the job we will not compromise on.
Out of reach, out of trouble
Cabling is fully concealed and decoders are housed away from the floor. Anything reachable from gym equipment will eventually be pulled, knocked or investigated, and a decoder on a shelf near the free weights has a short life.
Humidity and airflow
Gyms are warm and damp, which is hard on electronics. Decoders need genuine ventilation rather than a sealed cabinet, and connectors need to be properly made up because condensation finds every weak joint. It is the same discipline as a coastal installation, indoors.
